Today, the digital divide in India is real – illiteracy rate is 25-30 per cent and digital illiteracy is even higher. About 70 per cent of over one billion Indians lives in rural areas, and only about 400 million have Internet access. The digital divide can be bridged only if communities have access to digital channels and are aware of how to use them. To bridge the digital divide, we do intervention at multiple level.
We run many programs on basic internet access, using smartphone for day to day services, online billing and payments services, help small vendors and business to use platforms like swiggy, amazon, grofers etc., help teachers to use advance teaching programs, apps and software to make teaching much more fun and interactive.
