Solar Power Installation

Spherule Foundation implements solar power projects promoting clean, sustainable energy across educational and healthcare institutions. We've installed solar photovoltaic systems ranging from 30 to 200 Kilowatts capacity across multiple locations including Ramakrishna Mission Kolkata, Sanjoepuram Rehabilitation Center Haryana, and Belur Math in West Bengal. The ambitious Project Decarbonization installed 200 Kilowatts across 6 government institutes and a charitable school in Gujarat and Maharashtra, generating over 3 lakh units of electricity annually. These installations provide significant cost savings, with rooftop panels saving up to 95% of monthly electricity bills. Beyond economic benefits, solar power promotes environmental sustainability, reduces carbon footprint, and demonstrates the transformative potential of renewable energy. We conduct awareness sessions regarding renewable energy usage around all project sites.

Green Schools

Our Green Schools initiative enhances sustainability within school premises through comprehensive environmental interventions. Projects focus on installing rainwater harvesting systems and solar energy solutions, promoting eco-friendly practices and resource conservation. Green Schools combine renewable energy infrastructure with water conservation systems, creating models of environmental responsibility. The initiative has benefited 1,500 students directly while influencing thousands more through demonstration effects. Green Schools inspire environmental consciousness among young minds, preparing future generations to address climate challenges while delivering immediate practical benefits to school operations and community resources.

Spherule creates rainwater harvesting infrastructure addressing water scarcity in schools and communities. Projects at Sundrabai Marathe School Kharadi and JM Vidyalaya Wadebolai in Pune include underground storage tanks and groundwater recharge systems ensuring 100% rainwater reuse. Combined with WASH units including girls' toilets construction, these interventions contribute significantly to water conservation. We conduct awareness sessions on water conservation and sanitation in schools, inculcating behavioral change among students and staff. The systems store rainwater for later use while recharging groundwater levels, addressing immediate scarcity and long-term sustainability. These interventions demonstrate practical climate adaptation strategies, teaching communities to harness natural resources sustainably. The projects have transformed water availability in participating schools, eliminating dependency on external water supplies during certain periods.

In Nandurbar's tribal communities, we introduced E-Garbage vans and dustbin distribution elevating waste management practices significantly. We conduct awareness sessions on sanitation and hygiene, creating behavioral change around waste disposal and cleanliness. The integrated approach combines infrastructure (bins, collection systems) with education (proper waste segregation, disposal methods) creating sustainable waste management ecosystems.
