Spherule responded swiftly to the COVID-19 pandemic with comprehensive disaster management efforts. We distributed ration and hygiene kits to 150,000 migrant laborers and underprivileged people across four states i.e. Maharashtra, Delhi, UP, and MP. Essential supplies including cooked food, water bottles, shoes, and sanitary pads reached 190,000 migrant laborers leaving Pune with police department support. We provided PPE kits, personal hygiene kits, masks, and face shields to 2,000 frontline workers and COVID warriors at hospitals and police stations. Over 3 lakh sanitary pads were distributed during lockdown ensuring menstrual hygiene continuity. Our disaster response demonstrated organizational capacity for rapid mobilization during crises. Relief efforts addressed immediate survival needs while maintaining dignity through provision of essential items. The pandemic response showcased how NGOs can effectively complement government efforts during emergencies, reaching vulnerable populations quickly. Our disaster management model emphasizes meeting basic needs, protecting health, and maintaining human dignity during crises.
